POST 5: A PHOTO AND ITS STORY

Photography is something that interests me a lot, I collect both digital and physical memories of my friends, family, pets or even food or flowers that I find in the street. I think it is a good way to capture moments and with them to remember them someday when going through the albums again. 

I chose this photograph because of the work of Alfredo Jaar, a Chilean artist who is inspired by it to create his work. The authorship is by Kevin Carter, winner of the Pulizter award thanks to this photograph, capturing a vulture waiting for the death of a girl in Sudan 1993. It caused such a stir due to the lack of solidarity attributed to Carter that he ended up committing suicide some time later.
