POST:  HOW CAN YOUR MAJOR MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE 

Art history is a little known discipline, because it is not commonly taught in schools or universities as a compulsory subject. Despite this, if we understand the history of art as the history of images, we realize that we are in contact with this discipline much more than we think and therefore, it can also influence the world in some way.

One of the ways that I believe that the history of art would benefit the world is the greater democratization of knowledge and access to this area that is related to almost all areas of the humanities. Either, with the formation of free tickets to museums or exhibitions, access to books or catalogs, art exhibitions open to the community. In this way it is possible to create citizens aware of the cultural work of their own countries and awaken various interests, in addition to developing artistic areas that are not normally explored.

The history of art, or the stories of images, has accompanied us since the beginning of history. And it is of greater importance today, in the globalized world that we are constantly bombarded with images.
